See below for a little more about my training, career, and experiences.

The musician...
As a little girl studying the flute, I wanted to be famous like my idol Sir James Galway. So I decided to dedicate my life to studying music at the highest level possible and went on to major in classical flute performance, earning a bachelor's degree from Eastman School of Music and a master's degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London.

As a soloist I competed as a semi-finalist and finalist in the National Flute Association's Young Artists Competition and the Royal Academy of Music Club Prize.

I performed and taught throughout London. After moving back to the US, I auditioned for several orchestral positions, but didn't win a full-time job. I free-lanced part-time with several orchestras including the Boulder Philharmonic, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and Colorado Symphony and I have taught flute at Colorado Christian University for 17 years.

After several years away from performing, I found my way back to music through the healing power of house music.

I am now back on stage giving recitals as a concert soloist, and loving it more than ever, and I'm learning to DJ.

The professional...

As a high-achieving professional, I always sought excellence in all my work. Because I love music, I decided to earn a living in arts administration, starting my professional career as a communications coordinator at the Colorado Symphony. I discovered I loved marketing because I could write about music and encourage others to attend performances.

Fast-forward to today, I've experienced a successful career of 15 years leading marketing and communications teams at the Colorado Symphony and Opera Colorado—and I built and lead a high-performance team at Colorado Ballet.

As Director of Marketing and Communications, I helped to lead the organization through a successful return to the theater post-pandemic with strategic brand elevation initiatives, audience engagement, marketing, team building, and strategic communications that created record-breaking ticketing revenue results each season.

The athlete...
After graduate school, I was frustrated with my inability to earn a living as a full-time musician, so I decided to run a marathon. After running four marathons, I became certified as a running coach through RRCA, and ran 30 miles per week. Then, it was time for a new challenge.

I signed up with a boxing gym for fun, and after a few months of training, I was sparring and preparing to compete in the Colorado Golden Gloves.

I went on to win the Ringside World Championship, compete at the National Golden Gloves and at National Tournaments with USA Boxing, becoming nationally ranked in the top 10 in two weight-classes.

As an athlete, I became an avid health and wellness advocate due to my struggles with auto-immune conditions that inhibited my performance.

I recovered from repetitive use injuries and inflammatory responses caused by stress. I now enjoy several simple wellness practices and nutrition that supports my vibrant lifestyle.
